Yes! We are covering domestic travel, hotel, meals, and a per diem for incidental expenses.

Entries will be judged by a committee of representatives from Radiotopia and IMI.

Radiotopia works with independent creators to execute their vision. Even if we really like your idea, we are not set up to steal it. There is no us without you.

In our experience, many creators come up with similar, even nearly identical, ideas all the time, but you should share as much as you feel comfortable, and know that your videos will not be shared outside of a small group of Radiotopia and IMI staff.

ELIGIBILITY: Anyone 18 years of age or older can enter the Radiotopia at IMI Fest 2024 Contest except for employees of Radiotopia, PRX, the Independent Media Initiative (IMI) and all related organizations (including but not limited to all employees of: Appearances, Articles of Interest, Canción Exploder, Everything is Alive, Hang Up, The Heart, Home Cooking, Hyperfixed, In the Scenes Behind Plain Sight, Judas and the Black Messiah, Mumbai Crime, Over the Road, Partners, Passenger List, Adult ISH, Radiotopia Presents, Ear Hustle, Everything is Alive, The Kitchen Sisters Present, The Memory Palace, The Mortified Podcast, Radio Diaries, The Recipe with Kenji and Deb, Song Exploder, Benjamen Walker’s Theory of Everything, The Stoop, The Truth,The West Wing Weekly, This Day in Esoteric Political History, Weight For It, You Get a Podcast!, their immediate family or persons living in the same household. Multiple entries are void and only the first entry is counted. Entries will only be accepted during September 19 and October 15, 2024.

This contest is open only to permanent legal residents of the fifty (50) United States, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico (but excluding Guam and all other U.S. territories and possessions), and who are physically located therein.

PRIZE: The winner will receive all of the following:

• 1 entrance ticket to IMI Fest 2024

• Domestic travel arrangements – including airfare and accommodations

• Prize must be claimed within 3 days of notification.

SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION OF WINNER:  Two winners and three back up names will be selected by jury no later than November 1, 2024. Winner will be contacted by email for notification of contest results by telephone or mail. If the winner is unable to be contacted within three days to collect their prize, the unawarded prize will go to the first back-up and subsequent back-ups thereof until the prize is awarded.

GENERAL: By participating, PRX, Radiotopia, IMI, its agents and employees will have no liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind resulting from their use of the prize or their participation in the contest. Prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. There can be no substitutions for a prize. The winner agrees to participate in promotion of the event or gift won as a prize, including, but not limited to, the use of his or her name, photograph or likeness, without further compensation.

Results of the contest are final--there are no substitutions or exchanges or cash redemption allowed.

PRX, Radiotopia, IMI, and all of our affiliated shows, are not responsible for entries that are not received due to issues with internet or telephone access.

The copyright in and to the podcast entries will remain solely with the participants; however, participants acknowledge that there may be multiple submissions that are similar in nature. Each participant represents and warrants that all submissions shall be free of malware or other viruses, and all submissions and resulting work product will not contain any material that is obscene, violates the legal rights of any third party (including any third party intellectual property rights), or defames any third party. Additionally, each participant represents and warrants that all submissions do not and will not incorporate, are not and will not be based upon, nor derived from, any AI Technology. 'AI Technology' means any and all training, self-improving or machine learning software, algorithms, hardware or other artificial intelligence tools or aids of any kind, including large language model(s) and data contained therein.
